dreaming

the ground splits open over time and weeds grow everywhere
and you swear there was something very fishy in that very air
the house has long been abandoned and everything is still
and you run around and scream for an echo just for the thrill
i laugh and you laugh to break the tension holding us back
and you seem to fill the empty voids of my life i know i lack

we will go on the rooftops and stare at the moon and stars
and we can let everything out so this night can be ours
there are no clouds in the sky because that's how you like it
and the chilly night gives me shivers but i didn't care one bit
you inspire me with only your smile and you are everything
so have a dream and write it down so i know i'm not dreaming
